Honest caveats
- Rates change. The date above and the source list below are the evidence. Re-check Etsy's Help pages before relying on a figure for tax or pricing decisions.
- This models one order. It doesn't cover Etsy Ads (on-site), Pattern, currency conversion, deposit fees, multi-quantity listing quirks beyond the listing toggle, or refunds.
- The one-time shop set-up fee is not included here: Etsy doesn't publish the UK amount — it only appears during onboarding.
- Not tax advice. Talk to an accountant if you're unsure about VAT registration.

If you want the whole-shop version
This calculator does one order. The Etsy UK Profit Dashboard (a spreadsheet) turns the CSV exports Etsy already gives you into a private profit dashboard for your whole shop: monthly net, fees, top items and a data-checks panel. Built for Excel 2019+/365 and Google Sheets (uses only functions those apps support); tested in LibreOffice. Built with AI assistance.

FAQ
Is this connected to my Etsy shop?
No. Nothing is uploaded and there is no Etsy login. You type numbers in; the page does the arithmetic.
Does this include the UK regulatory operating fee?
Yes: 0.48% of item price + postage + gift wrap, as listed on Etsy's Regulatory Operating Fee Help article (checked on the date above).
Why is VAT on fees optional?
Etsy collects VAT on seller fees for UK shops that haven't submitted a VAT ID. If you've given Etsy a VAT ID, tick the box and VAT on fees drops to £0.
Why doesn't it include the shop set-up fee?
Etsy charges some new shops a one-time set-up fee, but it doesn't publish the UK amount. It's shown during shop onboarding, so this page can't include a verified figure.
